A THREE-WEEK SEMINAR FOR THE PROBANISTS 2025 - 2026 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 102
Our community was named Marie Chamska, a name that inspired us to live with generosity, simplicity, and openness. Community life was vibrant and practical, rooted in everyday activities that strengthened our bonds. We shared moments of prayer, both personal and communal, which made our days and gave spiritual depth to our formation.
We also engaged in apostolic activities, including visits to the poor and an orphanage, where we encountered Christ in the lives of the vulnerable. Cleaning and maintaining our living spaces further reminded us that community life is built through small, faithful acts of love and responsibility. Kitchen duties were carried out in a spirit of service and cooperation, teaching us humility and mutual support.
A special highlight of our time together was the celebration of Christmas. This joyful and sacred occasion was enriched by our union with two other communitiesโthe Novitiate community and the St. Augustine community. Celebrating Christmas together strengthened our sense of belonging to the wider Assumption family and reminded us that our vocation is lived not in isolation but in communion with others. Sharing the feast of the Incarnation deepened our gratitude for Godโs gift of community and mission.
In conclusion, the three-week Probanistsโ seminar was a meaningful period of growth, learning, and transformation. Through shared prayer, study, apostolate, and daily life, we experienced what it truly means to form a community rooted in the Rule of St. Augustine and inspired by the charism of the Oblates of the Assumption. Our time as the Marie Chamska community at DโAlzon Girls School will remain a cherished memory and a strong foundation as we continue our journey of formation as Pilgrims of Hope, committed to peace, justice, and the integrity of creation.
