The Oblates arrived in Kampala in 2011 with the mission to care for the sick. Initially, the house served as a continental house, but later in 2017, the General chapter restructured into provinces, and the Kampala house ceased to operate as a continental house. Sisters welcome sick people mainly from the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who came to Nsambya hospital for more specialized medical care
