Sister Sirimwenge Sylivie Masika (present at St. Monica community, Tabora) arrived on 10th October 1998 together with Postulant Nicole Marungu (present at P rovince of Congo). Three days after Sister Donatienne arrived for a visit and looking after Sistersβ documents (VISA and resident permit) in Nairobi as she was the Province Bursar of that time. On that time the Sisters were getting their Visa in Nairobi.
The first Community Superior was Late Sr. Jean Christine Kikoma Baitswa and Sr. Sirimwenge the community bursar started their mandate on 17th, October. November 21th Sr Goreth Masikini (Provincial of Congo) arrived with Sister Marie Jeanne who was waiting for her Visa to Haiti.
21st November, Memorable Mass for the death of Fr DβAlzon was celebrated in evening with Assumptionist Fathers from Kijenge Parish attended with Sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro, thereafter short reception at around 6pm.
On December 11th, Sr Magdelene Kambumbu arrived to prepare Provincial Chapter, the Sisters were very happy to be visited.
The same day at around 8pm, Radio Vatican News announced Fr. Josaphat Lebulu as Bishop of Diocese of Arusha, it was unexpectable event. The following day The Assumptionists and the Oblates went to congratulate him.
Before Christmas 1998 Sr Alexadrine left to Congo for a Provincial Chapter. Sister Alexandrine was back from Provincial Chapter, and arrival of the first Tanzanian Aspirant Editha and thereafter Julia Kisanga
