On September 15th, 1997 Sr Claire Rabbitz (General Superior) arrived and Sister Marie Goreth Masikini (Provincial of Congo that time). Sister Jean Christine joined the group the same day. Sister Claire and Sister Marie Goreth Masikini went to Arusha to meet the Administrator Padre Josaphat Lebulu (currents retired Archbishop) to finalize the new mission of the Oblates in diocese of Arusha. That time the Late Bishop Lukanima had left the diocese and he was no longer a Bishop. Reaching Arusha, they had meeting with Him and found no copy of the invitation letter only a piece of paper under the table. Though he had no idea about the arrival of the Oblate Sisters but he accepted them. It’s believed that, the copy of invitation letter from Late Bishop Lukanima would be in Region of Congo. Kindly after a sharing, the Administrator decided to invite them again for the same purpose of working at Sekei secondary school with one condition that, they have to wait for some months before their arrival.

… It happens that when the Administrator was reading the notice left on the table by Bishop Fortunatus Lukanima I was around. He read and said ‘’I will not change anything planned’ the Sisters will come and work in office and in school’’ (Fr Messo a.a)

 Advent for Mission – Learn to Wait

Here things were to start again and the Sisters had to wait until things are settled as Sisters of our Lady of Kilimanjaro were working at Sekei secondary had been forced to leave and this was not good for the Oblates to replace them immediately. The general Superior and the Provincial of Congo came back from Arusha and shared with the Sisters about the situation. On 22nd October they had lunch with Sister Claire and in the afternoon they had a short walk to town (Nairobi). 

For the first time the Sisters crossed Namanga border to Arusha during the ordination of Fr. Benoit and the deaconate of Br Chuvi was on 7th November 1997, they attended with Fr. Richard, 4 Brothers and 11 Religious from other Congregations
